About the Association

A member-led, non-profit association bringing Malaysia's AI companies, professionals and academics together to build an industry the whole country can benefit from.

01 / 06Our story

Started by practitioners, for the whole ecosystem.

Persatuan Industry AI Malaysia was founded by people who build, deploy and teach AI every day. Again and again we saw the same problem: Malaysia had capable people and promising companies, but no neutral place where they could work together, speak with one voice, and make sure progress reached beyond a few cities and sectors.

So we created one. The association is registered under the community welfare category because our purpose is broader than commerce: a strong AI industry should create good jobs, better public services and real opportunities for every Malaysian.

Today we bring together corporates, SMEs and startups, independent professionals, universities and students — and work with government and partners on the issues none of us can solve alone.
